The James Rowland Professor of Psychology, Professor of Management at Yale University, and founder of Yale’s Automaticity in Cognition, Motivation, and Evaluation (ACME) lab, John has conducted revolutionary research focused on non-conscious drivers of human behavior for more than three decades. He has written nearly 200 scholarly research and theoretical papers—for which he has received major awards and honors, including a Guggenheim Fellowship, induction into the American Academy of Arts and Sciences, and the Distinguished Career Award from the American Psychological Association—and is the author of one of Business Insider’s outstanding reads of 2017, Before You Know It: The Unconscious Reasons We Do What We Do.
